For Summer 2009, applications are due by 5:00 pm on April 10, 2009 with award decisions announced by April 24. Applications will be reviewed by members of the Executive Committee of the Center for Ethics in Public Life and final decisions will be made by Janet Weiss, Dean of the Graduate School, and John Chamberlin, Director of the Center for Ethics in Public Life. All students will be notified by email of the status of their application.

Selection Criteria

Selection of fellows will be based on the degree to which the dissertation project engages ethics in public life, the stage of completion of the dissertation (with work ready to be presented in the workshop), and a letter of support from a faculty member familiar with the applicant’s research. The program will make awards to students from a diverse set of departments and disciplines.
