The Association for Practical & Professional Ethics
The Association for Practical and Professional Ethics was founded in 1991 with support from Indiana University and the Lilly Endowment to encourage interdisciplinary scholarship and teaching of high quality in practical and professional ethics by educators and practitioners who appreciate the practical-theoretical aspects of their subjects. The Association facilitates communication and joint ventures among centers, schools, colleges, business and nonprofit organizations and individuals concerned with the interdisciplinary study and teaching of practical and professional ethics.
The Carnegie Council — The Voice for Ethics in International Policy
The Carnegie Council's mission is to be the voice for ethics in international policy. It convenes agenda-setting forums and creates educational opportunities and information resources for a worldwide audience of teachers and students, journalists, international affairs professionals, and concerned citizens.
The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching
Founded by Andrew Carnegie in 1905 and chartered in 1906 by an act of Congress, The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching is an independent policy and research center with a primary mission "to do and perform all things necessary to encourage, uphold, and dignify the profession of the teacher and the cause of higher education."

- Change is a magazine dealing with contemporary issues in higher learning. It is intended to stimulate and inform reflective practitioners in colleges, universities, corporations, government, and elsewhere. Using a magazine format rather than that of an academic journal, Change spotlights trends, provides new insights and ideas, and analyzes the implications of educational programs, policies, and practices.

Institute for the Study of Legal Ethics
Hofstra’s Institute for the Study of Legal Ethics (ISLE) serves as a research center for the study of legal ethics issues. In addition to offering courses in professional responsibility, ISLE sponsors speakers, conferences, symposiums and also provides opportunities for student and faculty research.

President’s Council on Bioethics
The Council advises the President of the United States on bioethical issues that may emerge as a consequence of advances in biomedical science and technology. In connection with its advisory role, the mission of the Council includes the following functions:
- to undertake fundamental inquiry into the human and moral significance of developments in biomedical and behavioral science and technology;
- to explore specific ethical and policy questions related to these developments;
- to provide a forum for a national discussion of bioethical issues;
- to facilitate a greater understanding of bioethical issues; and
- to explore possibilities for useful international collaboration on bioethical issues.

The Carnegie Council's Workshops for Ethics in Business (WEB) is a one-of-a-kind forum that brings top corporations and NGOs together in a civilized setting to share innovative ideas for addressing ethical issues related to globalization.
